Joaquín Ramón Herrera is, among other things, an author and an artist. he currently lives on the west coast and grew up moving around the united states.

born in los angeles, he has also lived in new mexico, miami beach, iowa, new york city, new york state, massachusetts, maryland, oregon, san diego, hollywood, and pennsylvania—as well as in a tent, a garage, a car, and an adóbe house.

as a boy, joaquín was known for talking too much, making up fantastic stories, scribbling on everything, and singing to his tape recorder.

some say he hasn't changed all that much.
